IPSWICH TOWN: ‘Ready’ to make a move for a former player from Sheffield United, Doncaster Rovers, and Everton

Ipswich Town ‘ready’ to move for ex-Sheffield United, Doncaster Rovers and Everton man

John Lundstram, a midfielder who previously played for Doncaster Rovers and Sheffield United, is apparently on Ipswich Town’s radar.
Following Sheffield United’s Premier League elimination in 2021, the 30-year-old sealed his transfer to Rangers. Since then, he has made 151 appearances for the massive Scottish team, but it looks like he may be leaving.

According to reports, he is reportedly in talks with Trabzonspor of Turkey and will become a free agent this summer when his contract expires. Nonetheless, the Everton Academy alumnus may be planning a return to England.

On his Patreon page, reporter Alan Nixon claims that if negotiations with Trabzonspor fail, Ipswich is prepared to step in and entice Lundstram. The 30-year-old would provide the Ipswich team, which lacks Premier League experience, a plethora of experience.

John Lundstram’s final season with Sheffield United was 2020–21.

After defeating Leeds United over the weekend, the Tractor Boys secured their promotion from the Championship to the second automatic berth. Ipswich defeated Huddersfield Town 2-0, while Leeds lost to Southampton to end the regular season.

It was Ipswich’s second straight promotion, coming one year after they were rescued from League One. It wouldn’t be shocking if Lundstram, who is renowned for his stamina and football acumen, blended in well at Portman Road.
