Bryan King believes Everton will have to drop their asking price for Jarrad Branthwaite.
According to an ex-Everton scout, the club is unlikely to receive £80 million for the center-back.
According to Sky Sports Germany’s Florian Plettenberg, Manchester United is interested in signing Branthwaite, but the asking price of £80 million is a deterrent.
King, speaking exclusively to Goodison News, believes the 22-year-old isn’t worth that much money.
“I think his value probably decreased after that performance against Chelsea,” he remarked.
“I anticipate Everton to drop their asking price for Branthwaite. He is a skilled player who has time on his side. However, he performed poorly defensively against Chelsea.
“He didn’t look like an £80 million player. I believe that is £50 million too much.
“Everton are being ridiculous; Branthwaite has had one decent season, and they are asking for that much money? “It will never happen.”

Everton may be forced to sell Jarrad Branthwaite amid Goodison Park difficulties.
The Toffees find themselves in an extremely hazardous situation.
Following another season in which off-field controversy dominated the headlines at Goodison Park, it is evident that cash must be raised this summer.
This might lead to the club selling Branthwaite, who has been an outstanding performance for Sean Dyche this season.
However, they may be forced to accept a lower offer, and due to the club’s current predicament, they are not in the best negotiation position.
