“It would be great if he came” – Brighton player gives backing to managerial appointment

Yasin Ayari, a teenage player for Brighton & Hove Albion, has stated that he would want for Malmö FF manager Henrik Rydström to sign for the Seagulls this summer.

The young player has been talking to Aftonbladet regarding Brighton’s summer managerial search and whether another Swede might be appointed to the position.

Following their breakup with Roberto de Zerbi at the end of the campaign, Brighton are now without a manager.

Since the Italian’s arrival, they had experienced an unparalleled and swift ascent; but, due to differences in opinion on the club’s future course, De Zerbi ultimately decided to depart.

The search is currently underway for his replacement, as Brighton has historically shown itself to be a very progressive team in that area with the selections of De Zerbi and Graham Potter.

Both of those showed the club’s management isn’t scared to think outside the box when recruiting managers, even though they were somewhat unexpected at the time.

It is unclear if that would ever take them back to Sweden, but if it did, Ayari would be overjoyed to have Rydström visit.

Sincerely? Alright! Unaware of that. Is it merely a rumour? How ill! But if he arrives, it will be a lot of fun,” he remarked when the suggestion was made.

He enjoys playing excellent football and makes a fantastic coach. If he came, that would be fantastic.

Brighton looks at data and statistics a lot, and I believe he has very strong statistics in the Allsvenskan when it comes to such things, so the rumour can’t be entirely unfounded.
