This week, the Jaguars updated a number of front office staff members, according to Neil Stratton of SucceedinFootball.com. These revisions included one new hire, one role change, and five promotions. The people that received the promotions are Mickeel Stewart, Holden McAbee, Ryan Stamper, Tyler Walker, and John Stevenson. After six years in San Francisco, Stevenson has worked as a national scout for the Jaguars for the last three years. He will now take on the role of assistant college scouting director. After holding the position of director of player assessment, Stamper will assume Stevenson’s former position as national scout. He came from Ohio State to join Jacksonville for his fourth season there.
A promotion to college scout has been granted to Walker, Stewart, and McAbee. Walker attended Oregon for a while before working as a scouting assistant for the past three years. Similar to this, Stewart joined the team in 2022 as a scouting assistant after spending little over a year at West Virginia. McAbee also advances from his two-year position as a scouting assistant. He was Gardner-Webb University’s director of player personnel before.
Jason DesJarlais will join the pros after working as a college scout for the Jaguars for 17 years. After working as a scouting intern for the team in 2006, he was promoted to the position of BLESTO scout for the southeast and midwest. DesJarlais worked as a defensive assistant and special teams coach at Yale before moving to Duval.
Max Rosenthal is the newest member of the team. Following his playing career at Michigan State and Illinois as a fullback and tight end, Rosenthal was employed by the Illini as a quality control coach for special teams and offensive plays, where he particularly assisted the tight ends unit. He is currently traveling to Jacksonville to take a job as a scouting assistant, covering for Walker, Stewart, and McAbee.
