Sean Dyche is hopeful that Jarrad Branthwaite, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Idrissa Gueye will be fit for Everton’s massive Premier League match at home to Nottingham Forest on Sunday.Centre-back Branthwaite came off injured, along right-backs Seamus Coleman and Nathan Patterson, in Monday’s humiliating 6-0 defeat at Chelsea. Midfielder Gueye and striker Calvert-Lewin were ruled out of the game with hamstring and calf issues respectively. But while Patterson’s season is over, and Coleman is unlikely to return this weekend, Blues boss Dyche should have the key trio available for the showdown with relegation rivals Forest.Dyche said: “(Branthwaite and Calvert-Lewin) trained, we were light today, but both trained light and came through it, so we hope there is no reaction to that.”Patto (Patterson) will be out for the season – he will need surgery. Very unfortunate injury. We’re disappointed on that one for him as much as us. Seamus, we’re waiting on but hopefully it will calm down quickly – but touch-and-go, at best, for this weekend.”(Gueye) should be okay. His calf settled and he trained today – similar, low-level training today, but he trained and he was okay.”Dyche could not confirm whether Scotland international Patterson will miss Euro 2024 with the serious hamstring injury he has sustained. The 22-year-old said on Instagram: “Absolutely gutted to get the news that the injury is going to be longer than expected. Just wanted to finish the season strong with Everton but that’s life. Will be supporting the boys in the remaining games.”Everton currently sit one place and two points above fourth-from-bottom Forest. Luton Town have the chance to jump above the two clubs with victory at home to Brentford on Saturday.
