John Longmire Speech – Sydney Swans and QBE kick goals for good.

The QBE Foundation hosted its annual Goals for Good event at Saturday’s AFL clash between the Sydney Swans and Fremantle Dockers, resulting in a donation of $75,000.

A $75,000 donation was made possible by the QBE Foundation’s annual Goals for Good event, which was held during Saturday’s AFL match between the Sydney Swans and Fremantle Dockers.

Under the effort, the QBE Foundation matched the total donation to $75,000 after the game, with a $3,000 pledge for each of the 14 goals the Swans scored at the SCG.The Sydney Swans Foundation and QBE’s community partners will each receive a portion of the proceeds.

The QBE Foundation raised $93,000 following the Swans’ 171-point victory and 31 goals against West Coast last year. In the two years before, donations totaling $70,000 had been made.

Co-chair of the QBE Foundation Jon Fox was enthusiastic about the project, saying it was a fun way for QBE to keep helping its community partners.

“After over 40 years of collaboration, our relationship with the Sydney Swans has provided us with a fantastic chance to help the communities and causes that are significant to both of our organizations.

With this year’s QBE Foundation Goals for Good project, we’re honored to carry on this vital effort and contribute to the development of inclusive, robust, and strong communities.

The Sydney Swans Foundation and QBE’s community partners, Save the Children Australia, Stars Foundation, Australian Red Cross, Orange Sky, and R U OK?, will benefit from the money raised by this year’s Goals for Good.

At the game, volunteers from QBE’s community partners also had the unique privilege of creating the Guard of Honour and running out as Junior Mascots.

Mr. Fox emphasized that this was a fantastic chance to honour and recognize the commitment of people who help our communities.

“QBE is proud to stand with our community partners, whose unwavering commitment to promoting positive change is incredibly motivating. We work together to create communities that are more resilient and welcoming.

According to Sydney Swans CEO Tom Harley, the program is a wonderful way to unite people for a cause that matters.

“QBE’s Goals for Good is an amazing program to support organizations that play a critical role in the community. We invited some of these community organizations and their devoted volunteers to our game on Saturday as a thank you for their outstanding contribution. I would like to thank QBE on behalf of the entire team for their support.
