Julen Lopetegui proposes a proposal to elite midfielder as West Ham make solid move.

Julen Lopetegui is planning a surprise move to buy a truly world-class midfielder for West Ham this summer. West Ham fans are clamouring for fresh additions, and Julen Lopetegui is clearly working hard to make that happen.

Tim Steidten appears to be intent on signing Brazilians this summer, with Carlos Miguel being the most recent name connected with a move to the London Stadium. Lopetegui and Steidten must sign at least six or seven new players this summer, as almost every position at West Ham demands quick attention.

The Hammers manager needs to strengthen central midfield, where Edson Alvarez will need additional competition and cover. Aleix Garcia of Girona is said to be a prominent target for West Ham, with the club reportedly willing to pay roughly £14 million to recruit him and offer him a £65k-per-week contract. With Flynn Downes being connected with a move to Southampton, it’s no surprise that Lopetegui wants to add a top-tier defensive midfielder to his squad.

Julen Lopetegui meets Aleix Garcia as West Ham make move

This summer, the Hammers and Bayer Leverkusen are pursuing Girona’s star player. While the Bundesliga club is considered to be the frontrunner for his signature, West Ham remains a strong contender. Fabrizio Romano provided an update on Garcia’s current condition, alleging that Lopetegui was involved in proposing the West Ham concept to the Spanish midfielder.

Aleix Garcia would be a fantastic acquisition to West Ham if Julen Lopetegui can get him to the London Stadium. The Spaniard is an excellent deep-lying midfielder. He possesses an excellent passing range and is quite press-resistant, thanks to his coolness in possession. The Girona star would be a truly spectacular acquisition for the Hammers, therefore I’d love to see David Sullivan, Steidten, and Lopetegui go all out for this one. It will be difficult to beat Leverkusen to the signing of Garcia, given that they have Champions League football on offer at the BayArena.

Hopefully, Lopetegui has sold a deal to West Ham for the Girona star. The Hammers are still a giant club, and it appears like we’re on the verge of an exciting future. It’s unclear whether that will be enough to alter the 26-year-old’s choice.
