The first of several potential questions centered on Aston Villa’s belief that Barkley would strengthen their team in what might be a demanding season due to their promotion to the Champions League for the 2024–2025 campaign. The rumors that Ross will rejoin Aston Villa have grown since the publication of our first piece, and it appears that an announcement of the agreement will soon come.
According to The Guardian, Ross is eager to move forward and the proposed agreement is now more likely than ever to be finalized.
Even if everyone would prefer that Ross stay at Kenilworth Road for one more season, we can’t help but think that such a gifted player should get the opportunity to showcase his skills on the largest platform in domestic football. Though I can appreciate his ambition to compete in the Champions League, I just don’t see Aston Villa winning the league. In addition, if the transfer goes through, I hope the Hatters get paid a fair price for a player who has been called perhaps the greatest to ever don a Luton Town shirt.
