Due to an injury, Birmingham City manager Chris Davies has stated that Scott Wright will be sidelined for a “few weeks.”
Until the middle to end of November, Birmingham City will have to settle for the winger. He missed last night’s League One match against Bolton Wanderers, which they won 2-0 thanks to goals from Jay Stansfield and midfielder Tomoki Iwata.
The former Scotland young player progressed through Aberdeen’s system and played regularly for the Dons at several youth levels.
In addition to scoring seven goals in 80 games for their first team, Wright also had a loan stint at Dundee.
He was signed by Rangers in 2020, and throughout his 120 appearances for the Glasgow giants, he scored 12 goals.
It was then approved for him to leave Ibrox in late August.
Now what?
Birmingham City will wait for the ideal time and won’t want to hurry him back in.
After an outstanding start to the new season under Nigel Clough’s leadership, they return to action this weekend as they travel to Mansfield Town to play a fourth-place Stags team.
