Wrexham striker Paul Mullin injured in collision with Manchester United goalie Nathan Bishop | AP News

Wrexham have announced that striker Paul Mullin will be absent from the US pre-season tour as he recovers from minor spinal surgery.

The surgery was needed to resolve a persistent lower-back and hamstring issue.

Mullin, who has been the club’s top scorer and Player of the Season for three consecutive years, had been managing the condition with conservative treatments for the past three years.

“After multiple consultations, it was decided that surgery was the best course of action,” the club mentioned on their official website. Mullin underwent the surgery in London in mid-June to ensure his fitness for most of the 2024/25 season, as Wrexham gears up for their return to League One.

He will be rehabilitating with the club’s medical team, with no specific timeline set for his return to full fitness.
