Nottingham Forest confirm senior appointments as chairman sets out target - Nottinghamshire Live

After a hiatus, a former Nottingham Forest manager is almost ready to take the reins again.

Over the years, Forest has had a number of managers, some of whom have had some degree of success.

Forest didn’t truly start to see any success until Steve Cooper joined the team in 2021.

After taking over while Forest was at the bottom of the Championship, he turned the team around from the top to the bottom and secured promotion through the play-offs.

Now, a manager who impressed at Forest prior to Cooper taking over is expected to take over at a different team.

Sabri Lamouchi is to start a new position.

The Frenchman, who was fired by Cardiff City, is now prepared to seize another chance.

Under Lamouchi, Forest had several incredibly memorable moments, but he was unable to bring the City Ground’s golden era back.

Lanoucgh is now expected to return to Saudi Arabia and assume leadership of Al-Riyadh, per Darren Witcoop on X.

The leader appears to be returning to the hot seat and has expertise managing in the Middle East.

With a victory percentage of little under 37% when he departed Forest, Lamouchi was eventually unable to return the team to the top leagues.

Nevertheless, he accomplished a great deal for the team and did, in fact, revive the joy of watching Forest.

Lamouchi managed Cardiff for eighteen games, ending his tenure with a 33% win percentage.

Forest moved beyond Lamouchi, but he performed admirably.

Lamouchi led his team to notable victories over Derby and Leeds, and his realistic approach to the game eventually won over some supporters.

Lamouchi might not be able to get work in this country again because he is more suited for Saudi Arabian football than English football.

But considering what he accomplished with a small roster at the Forest, Lamouchi does have some respect from the supporters of the team.

Now that they have moved on, Forest is attempting to stabilize as a Premier League team.

But when it came to promotion, Lamouchi laid a lot of the groundwork, and for that, the supporters will always be appreciative.
