Kativerata claims that Bati is harmed by the kick.

The kicking game they played against the Kumuls of Papua New Guinea last night, in the opinion of Fiji Bati coach Wise Kativerata, truly let them down.

In their Pacific Bowl first-round match at Suva’s HFC Bank Stadium, the Bati fell short 22–10. A disgruntled Kativerata claims that their subpar kicking performance is the reason they let up four straight sets of seven tackles.

The former national representatives add that it is not acceptable to give up seven tackle sets at the international level, and the Bati actually paid a heavy price for it. In order to determine the Pacific Bowl, Vodafone Fiji Bati must defeat the Cook Islands in Suva on Saturday of next week and hope that the Cooks defeat Papua New Guinea the following weekend.

Next weekend, Fiji Bulikula will also meet Cook Islands at the HFC Bank Stadium. FBC Sports will broadcast both games live.
