Kyogo, who Ange Postecoglou brought to Glasgow, has become a devoted fan favourite.
During the previous campaign, Brendan Rodgers’s striker’s form was inconsistent.
The 29-year-old Celtic player might be lured to sell with a bid of up to £10 million.
KYOGO FURUHASHI is reportedly in the process of making a dramatic return to Japan, which may lead to his unexpected exit from Celtic this summer.
Urawa Red Diamonds have set their sights on the 29-year-old striker in an attempt to entice Kyogo to return to his own country.
The richest club in Japan right now, Urawa is prepared to shatter the existing record for J-League transfers in order to acquire their man.
The current record is £10 million, thus a price well exceeding that amount would be required to sign Furuhashi.
Having signed a new contract last summer, he is also under contract until 2027. He has been a steadfast fan favourite for the entire three years he has been in Glasgow. However, rumours circulating in Japan state that Urawa is prioritising Furuhashi above all others in their quest to assemble a J-League championship-winning squad.
They brought in Norwegian forward Ola Solbakken on loan from Roma in January, but it appears that Malmo, the reigning Swedish champions, are interested in him. Urawa would therefore have a big hole in their lineup, which they are eager to fill with a native player
In his three years with Celtic, Kyogo Furuhashi has won seven of the nine domestic trophies.
Under Rodgers, Kyogo has not had the same success despite scoring another respectable amount of goals.
They may be prepared to put Celtic’s determination to the test during the course of the next few weeks with a record-breaking offer.
Following his signing in the summer of 2021, Furuhashi had two fantastic seasons at Celtic under Ange Postecoglou.
However, following Brendan Rodgers’ arrival in the summer of last year, he found it more difficult to make an impression; his 19 goals in all competitions marked his lowest season in Glasgow.
There is no indication that the player has been pushing for a transfer yet, and Celtic is not required to sell
But, Celtic may think that was a decent deal for a player who will turn 30 the following season if they can collect a sum far over £10 million. especially considering that Furuhashi was just signed for £4.5 million three years ago.
In the summer, Rodgers wants to add his own touch to this Celtic team, as he has already expressed.

Fans said that Rodgers wasn’t getting the most out of the Japanese striker at times during the previous season, and he was criticised for how he deployed the forward.
Claiming that Furuhashi was not being instructed to play any differently than he had under Postecoglou, the Celtic manager denied those allegations.
Additionally, Rodgers has stated that he would like to extend Adam Idah’s loan from Norwich, with the Irish striker’s services costing approximately £6 million.
In the Scottish Cup final last weekend, Idah replaced Furuhashi off the bench and went on to score the game-winning goal in the 1-0 victory over Rangers.
