LATEST NEWS: Philippe Clement wrote down his weakness and strategies to fix things up to elevate…

Given that clubs are pointing out Philippe Clement’s team’s “weakness,” Peter Grant thinks Rangers have lost their fear factor in Scotland.Ahead of their matchup with St Mirren at Ibrox on Sunday, October 27, the Light Blues are now six points behind both Celtic and Aberdeen in the Premiership standings.

Even though the Gers defeated FCSB 4-0 in the Europa League to get back to winning ways, Go Radio analyst Grant thinks Premiership teams are more confident than ever when they play Clement’s team.

He stated: “I just don’t think Rangers have the fear factor,” during an appearance on The Go Radio Football Show on October 25, at 6:25.

“They don’t have the guys that make you feel afraid, but if you’ve ever played Rangers, you’d think, ‘Well, if we leave here losing 1-0 or 2-0, you’d be happy.

“I don’t know if that’s true right now. I don’t mean to be disparaging, but some believe that they have a weakness there, and whether that weakness stems from the support, because if they had lost a goal by Jack Butland last night, that may have altered the outcome of the game.

“I don’t think they have the players to give you that fear factor, so I don’t think they have that fine line yet. Rangers were always in the game at 0-0, even though we might be winning in my time in terms of skill and other factors.

“We knew that McCoist, Gascoigne, and Laudrup were going to score goals; Rangers don’t have that.” The Scottish players, in my opinion, have a slightly greater belief that they can get something from them because of this.

Over the past few years, the Gers’ superior performance in the Europa League over the Premiership has all but become a myth.

It would be foolish to believe that the Light Blues are improving in midweek games, even though they have achieved better results in the Europa League than they have at home since Steven Gerrard left. The Ibrox atmosphere and the football club’s prestige continue to terrify teams from the continent. That doesn’t phase Premiership clubs in the least because of a run of subpar results over the past few seasons.Rangers manager Philippe Clement

Clement’s club can only regain that fear factor by dominating opponents, just like Celtic has done under Brenden Rodgers.
The Belgian will eventually pay with his career if they don’t, since the pressure will only increase.
