LATESTNEWS: Town’s Michael Duff strategies to work with familiar face once more

TRUST: Michael Duff knows Martin Paterson well
TRUST: Michael Duff is well-acquainted with Martin Paterson. At Huddersfield Town, Michael Duff has reconnected with Martin Paterson, his former Barnsley assistant.

In addition to being well-known to his former teammate Duff from Burnley, 37-year-old Paterson played for the Terriers for two seasons, from 2013 to 2015.

He was Duff’s assistant in Barnsley, Swansea City, and will now work with him a third time. Also, the two collaborated on games for Northern Ireland.

In America, Paterson began his coaching career as an assistant coach for Inter Miami, Tampa Bay, and Fort Lauderdale.
Following Duff’s dismissal as Swansea manager in December, Paterson took a different job as head coach of Burton Albion, preventing the Brewers from League One relegation before his temporary deal expired.

In addition to staying with the team, Kevin Russell will now work as assistant coach, with Andy Quy continuing in his role as goalkeeping coach.

Asif Saric and Thomas Kleine are no longer with the Terriers as head coaches.
