Leicester City progressed to the fourth round of the EFL Cup after a penalty shootout win against League Two side Walsall on Tuesday evening.

Despite a lackluster performance, with just two shots on target during the goalless match, the Foxes secured the victory thanks to Danny Ward, who saved three penalties in the shootout.

Leicester’s traveling fans voiced their frustration throughout the game and were heard chanting at manager Steve Cooper around the hour mark.

It appears that a portion of the fanbase has lost confidence in Cooper, who has yet to secure his first Premier League victory. The match against Walsall was seen as an opportunity to build momentum and positivity, but it instead intensified the pressure on the 44-year-old.Cooper may have until the October international break to save his job, with crucial matches ahead. Leicester will face Arsenal this weekend at the Emirates Stadium, followed by a home game against Bournemouth at the King Power Stadium. The Welshman is entering a must-win period over the next two weeks.
