Charlie Cresswell, a defender for Leeds United, was not hurt in this morning’s collision with a police car and is still eligible to play against Norwich City tonight.

At roughly ten in the morning on Thursday, the England Under-21 player was heading towards Elland Road near the West Stand entry gate. Although Leeds United claims the accident was minor and Cresswell was unharmed, a police officer was hospitalised for minor injuries. There was serious damage to both autos.

The event is still under investigation, according to the police. “Police were notified of a collision involving a police car and a Land Rover Defender on Elland Road, Leeds, at 10.13am today (Thursday),” a spokesperson stated. For minor wounds, an officer received medical attention. There were no other injuries recorded. There are still inquiries open.”

Cresswell is anticipated to be included in Leeds’ lineup for the play-off semifinal second leg against Norwich this evening. On matchdays, the Leeds players leave their cars parked behind the West Stand of the stadium and spend the day in the team hotel for their last pre-match meetings.
