Lewis Dobbin believes his move to West Bromwich Albion is the perfect opportunity to show everyone what he’s about.
The 21-year-old attacker, who is comfortable playing out wide on either flank, will spend the 2024/25 term with the Baggies after signing a season-long loan from Aston Villa.
Dobbin has featured 15 times in the Premier League and has previous loan experience with Derby County.
And the new man insists he can’t wait to get his teeth into Sky Bet Championship action.
Lewis said: “I’m really happy to be here. It’s the perfect opportunity to get first-team minutes and show what I can do.
“I’ve heard a lot about the Championship and I know it’s a tough, competitive league. I’m ready for it, though. I really want to show what I’m about.
“I like to excite the fans and get them out of their seats. I love to score goals and create goals, so hopefully I can do lots of that here this season.
The manager Carlos Corberán was a big factor in why I chose to come here on loan. He’s a top manager, which everyone in this league knows. He’s very highly regarded so I’m excited to work under him and learn and grow as a player.
“My short-term aim is to adapt as quickly as possible and be ready for selection as quickly as possible. Looking more long-term, I want to learn and grow both as a player and as a person, on and off the pitch. I’m excited to have this experience.
“I wanted to come to a competitive club which had big ambitions. I want to push on and help the club challenge to get back into the Premier League.”
