Lifelong Indiana Fever fans are ready for the team’s 2024 season home debut.

Indianapolis — On Thursday morning, there was a bustle outside Gainbridge Fieldhouse. “We drove six hours to watch Caitlin Clark play Sabrina,” Amber Sefton, who drove from Pennsylvania with her mother to the game, explained. It was all for the Indiana Fever’s home opener. “Its really big, Caitlin’s done a lot for women’s basketball,” Sefton said. Rachel Rollison says she’s been a Fever fan since the beginning. She claims to have attended the team’s first game at the age of eight. “I have my pennant from the debut season. “She’s a little bruised,” Rollison told WRTV.

The former Perry Meridian High School basketball player connected over attending Fever games with her father. “I remember him being so excited that we were getting a women’s team and being like, ‘You have a team to look up to’ because I grew up playing basketball,” Rollison recalled. Rollison would tell you that she is delighted to see the team finally receiving the accolades it deserves.

“I’m so excited for the city to rally behind them,” Rollison remarked. She expects the momentum will continue throughout the year and beyond. “Support Indiana Fever. “Go Fever,” Rollison declared.
