Luton Town is eager to sign a Crystal Palace player who scored fifteen goals in the league in 2023.

Luton Town will be keen on an immediate return to the Premier League having enjoyed their time last season.

Luton Town has added themselves to the lengthy list of Championship teams hoping to capture Crystal Palace’s Jesurun Rak-Sakyi this summer. The attacker scored four goals in Premier League Two during his meager six Premier League outings in the previous campaign. He will be excited to play more after scoring 15 goals in the 2022–2023 season while on loan at Charlton Athletic. Rak-Sakyi was seen an important member of the first team by Palace boss Roy Hodgson, who prevented a loan move to Southampton last summer. But due to form issues and injuries, he was virtually never involved.

According to the Football League, Rob Edwards, the manager of Luton Town, is eager to get the 21-year-old to Kenilworth Road in order to assist him advance and help Luton earn a Premier League spot. Although Southampton, which had previously been heavily connected to the Palace forward, has recently cooled their interest in him, Blackburn Rovers are still interested in him.

Palace Need to Get Rak-Sakyi’s Development Right

Many predicted the 21-year-old to be the next Wilfried Zaha when he first made the first team. But Palace did not have enough time to start him in the first team, therefore he was sent on loan to Charlton. He scored fifteen goals and provided eight assists while playing for Charlton, making him the league’s ultimate star. Rak-Sakyi only played six league games as a result of Palace rejecting all advances from Championship teams. The following stage was crucial.

That also had anything to do with an injury he sustained. For him, the upcoming season will be crucial to realizing his great potential. Palace is expected to hold off on making a definitive choice over Rak-Sakyi until after preseason, since the Eagles are expected to lose Michael Olise and Tottenham is showing a lot of interest in Eberechi Eze.
