While some Fratton supporters were disappointed that Pompey could not win the match due to goalkeeper Thomas Kaminski’s red card after 31 minutes, others saw the bright side of another draw against one of the favorites for the Championship title. John Mousinho’s team was unable to break down the visitors, who were reduced to 10 men.
What unites the camp, though, is the need for more new additions, with the Blues withouth six first-teamers for the game against the Hatters.
@jordy_drapes: I’ll take the point. Yengi, Bishop, and Murphy are obviously missing. Bring in a few more players this week, and let Middlesbrough play. @pompeyrod: Let’s focus on the bright side. We’ve faced two teams that are heavy favorites for promotion, and we could have won both. We don’t look embarrassed at this level, and we’re doing this without our best striker and CB. Overall, I’m optimistic about the season.
@BasicallyPuyol: Before the season began, you would have accepted not losing to Leeds and Luton, now it feels like four points were lost. Although we haven’t yet seen the best of Dozzell, central regions require more assertive action, thus we need another CM. @chrsrbnsn: It’s not at all awful to start the season with a point against the “best team in the league” and a point against a side that was in the Premier League the previous year. That’s okay with me. I’m content with that.
