Following Yankuba Minteh’s stellar season on loan at Feyenoord, Newcastle United may accept a £25 million proposal for the player, sources have told Football Insider.
When the transfer window reopens, elite teams in Germany and Italy have expressed interest in signing the Gambia international.
Due to budgetary restrictions, Newcastle is probably going to cash in on the 19-year-old this summer in order to retain their more seasoned first team players.
Minteh, who joined the northeast powerhouses from Danish team Odese last summer, finished the previous season with 27 Eredivisie appearances for Feyenoord, scoring 10 goals and dishing out six assists.
The winger signed a five-year contract upon joining St. James’ Park last year, and his current term runs until 2028.
Newcastle may sell Yankuba Minteh following his loan to Feyenoord.
After Minteh finished his debut season at Odense with four goals and six assists, Newcastle pushed to sign him for £6 million.
Under new Liverpool manager Arne Slot, the winger made a big impression while on loan at Feyenoord last season, helping them win the Dutch Cup and place second in the Eredivisie.
Minteh was playing at a high level towards the end of the season; in the final 11 league games, he scored seven goals and provided three assists.

Due to the Gambian’s time in Rotterdam, a number of elite teams are keeping an eye on his circumstances before he returns to Newcastle; the Tynesiders are probably going to sell him this summer.
After their time together in the Netherlands, reports indicate Slot is eager to bring his former loan star to Liverpool.
Newcastle officials are “anxious,” according to Football Insider, about Guimaraes leaving before his £100 million release clause expires on June 30. They are also scheduled to meet with Isak to discuss a new contract.
