Everton is set to sign Marseille striker Iliman Ndiaye during the summer transfer window, according to Fabrizio Romano. The Toffees have proposed around £17 million, including add-ons, which Marseille has accepted, resulting in a “deal in place.”

The 24-year-old striker, eager to move to Goodison Park, has agreed to a five-year contract with Everton. Romano confirmed the deal with his signature phrase “here we go,” indicating the transfer should be completed in the next few days. He also noted on X (June 25) that although other clubs showed interest, Everton moved quickly to secure Ndiaye.

Everton, active in the summer market despite financial challenges, is close to completing their third summer signing. They have already signed Tim Iroegbunam from Aston Villa and brought Jack Harrison back on loan from Leeds United. Ndiaye is expected to join unless there’s a last-minute change.

Manager Sean Dyche needed to strengthen the forward line, and with Newcastle pulling out of a deal for Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who has a year left on his contract, the addition of Ndiaye is crucial. Although Beto struggled and is now targeted by Turkish clubs, Ndiaye’s previous performance for Sheffield United, where he scored 14 goals and made 10 assists in 46 Championship games, has caught Everton’s eye. They hope he can replicate this success in the Premier League.
