Sunderland scouts were spotted at an intriguing place on Sunday. Scouts from the Black Cats were seen watching Porto vs. Boavista in the top division of Portugal, where the former Champions League winners prevailed 2-1.
As the 2023–24 season draws to a close, rumours started to circulate that the team would be considering moving to the continent in order to bolster Sunderland’s first team.
After a disappointing 2024 that saw their promotion bid to the Premier League crumble, numerous adjustments are required.

To get Namaso regular playing time, the European powerhouses could want to consider loaning him out. Sunderland may step in at this point to bring the striker back to England on a temporary basis.
This summer, Sunderland’s scouts might view the former England youth international as a Black Cats opportunity, since he needs regular starts.
Bruno Lourenço
In his two years at Boavista, Bruno Lourenço has demonstrated a great deal of promise as an attacking winger.
