Swire Transport As the Fijian Drua squad moves into the last eight of the Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific, coach Mick Byrne admits that his team is under more pressure. Byrne acknowledges that the Drua might not be the clear favorites, but he won’t discount the effort and commitment his group has shown all season long.
He believes that anything can happen in the knockout stages and is optimistic about his team’s ability to play physically, which is what they want to do against the Blues. Everyone outside of our surroundings assumes the Blues will win because we are coming from a seventh-place finish. Their belief is that they will prevail. It just indicates that we’re in a position where we can immerse ourselves wholeheartedly into the game.
Byrne claims they have been putting in a lot of effort in an attempt to surpass the conclusion of the previous season. The Blues and Drua will play on Saturday at Eden Park at 7:05 p.m. It’s available to watch LIVE on FBC Sports.
