Ryan Sessegnon will leave Tottenham Hotspur this summer at the end of his contract. The versatile left-back joined Spurs from Fulham in 2019 and it was hoped that he would flourish into a fully fledged member of the first team while competing for England caps.
However, as confirmed by transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, the 24-year-old will depart as a free agent.

It’s already plenty of interest across England and Europe for Sessegnon, but player’s preference is to stay in the Premier League. pic.twitter.com/fe3fg03kkW

Romano comments that Sessegnon’s preference is to remain in the Premier League. However, with Celtic’s Champions League Group Stage participation confirmed after winning the title, the youngster could very well be attracted by what Celtic has to offer.
Brendan wants another left back to compete with Greg Taylor, who has been an excellent servant to the club. The Scotland Internationalist is about to enter his final year of his contract and the club should be making sure they can tie this up as soon as possible. However, with the amount of games in a season, the manager clearly wants quality cover in the team.
The full-back, who can play left wing too, made 120 appearances for Fulham, scoring 25 goals and assisting on 18 occasions. This form resulted in the move to Spurs, where he made 57 appearances but scored only three times and assisted four times.
Sessegnon would also be in the youth cohort at Fulham that included Matt O’Riley. The progression of the midfielder from a £1.5m signing from MK Dons to the standout talent in Scotland will surely appeal to players this coming transfer window.
