Tam McManus believes that Rangers goalkeeper Jack Butland may be wanted by Leicester City, Southampton or Ipswich Town.

He is also of the option that his agent will be in talks with Premier League clubs over a summer transfer and that Gers could make £10million from his sale.

Butland moved to Ibrox last summer after his deal at Manchester United ran out and Crystal Palace did not sign him permanently.

McManus tld PLZ Soccer, via the Daily Record: “Every professional footballer wants to get to the English Premier League now. The promoted teams (Leicester, Ipswich and Southampton) would maybe fancy him although I do think he’s a bit better than that.

“He has played down there before and knows how good the league is so I think his agent will be touting him to other clubs. I think he has come up and done really well Rangers but he has probably done that to get himself in the shop window by playing regularly again to get back down to England.

“They got him on a free and the talk is they could get £10million for him. That would be massive for the coffers.”

Butland could be tempted to return to the Premier League if offered a first-choice goalkeeper position by clubs like Leicester, Southampton or Ipswich Town.

This is due to the higher level of competition and exposure in the Premier League compared to the Scottish Premiership.

On the other hand, Rangers would ideally want to retain Butland given his outstanding performance and the fact that they signed him for free.
