Pundit slams Clement after what he was spotted doing at FT whistle in Rangers loss v Ross County

Tan McManus has slammed Philippe Clement for “blanking” Ross County boss Don Cowie’s handshake after Rangers were beaten 3-2 at Victoria Park.

Sky Sports footage appeared to show the Belgian manager avoid shaking hands with his opposite number after the damaging defeat.

And McManus was very critical of Clement’s conduct, if the snub was indeed intentional.

The former Hibernian forward posted on his personal X account: “Did Clement blank Cowie’s handshake at the end there? Very poor if so.”

Clement will be livid that his men have so wastefully tossed aside their advantage in what looks set to be a title race that could go down to the wire.

From being a point behind Celtic in the table with a game in hand – and with it, the chance to go two points clear at the top – Rangers now find themselves four points back and with their destiny no longer in their own hands.

In spite of that, several experienced, seasoned stars failed to turn up, with few players emerging at the full-time whistle having banked any credit for their display.
