When Fabio Silva’s loan from Wolves ends at the end of the season, Rangers have chosen not to sign him permanently, according to Sebastiao Sousa Pinto.
The Portuguese journalist who works for Sport TV Portugal wrote on his personal X account on April 30, stating that Silva will be returning to Molineux this summer after the Ibrox club made their decision.
The 21-year-old forward has made 19 appearances in all competitions during his tenure in Glasgow, scoring four goals, the majority of which have come from the left wing.
Borna Barisic and John Lundstram are anticipated to join Trabzonspor when their contracts expire, and Silva is expected to leave the team after them.

In the larger scheme of things, Rangers’ decision to allow Silva to return to his parent club is scarcely surprising, and it’s likely the right one.
The Portugal youth international was added to the team during the January transfer window in order to support Philippe Clement, since Danilo and Kemar Roofe were sidelined and Sam Lammers was permitted to depart.
Though Silva has had a great start to life in Glasgow, he has failed to beat Cyriel Dessers for a spot in the team and has made headlines more for his spectacular tumble to the ground than for his goals.
Any permanent transfer is extremely unlikely to be a cheap deal, since Wolves spent more than £30 million to sign him from Porto in September 2020. Rangers now know precisely what they’re getting.
It seems more sense to use that money to get long-term contracts for Abdallah Sima and Oscar Cortes. Silva, who had previously stated that he intended to remain at Ibrox for many years, will now need to find a new residence.
