Rangers player reaches 2-year contract agreement with Euro club as exit set in stone

Agreements reached as update emerges on Rangers duo John Lundstram and Borna Barisic

According to Lorenzo Lepore, Rangers duo John Lundstram and Borna Barisic have agreed to two-year deals to join Trabzonspor this summer.

Lepore, a writer for the Italian media site Sempre Milan and the founder of Space Viola, claims there is an option for an additional year.

Both Lundstram and Barisic’s contracts at Ibrox are slated to expire in the summer, and they do not appear likely to continue with their departure now confirmed.

Lepore announced on Twitter that John Lundstram and Borna Barisic are set to sign with Trabzonspor. Both will join the Turkish club as free agents from Rangers. Understand that the agreement for both is for two years with an option for an additional year.”

Rangers plan to sever ways with John Lundstram and Borna Barisic.

Barisic should depart Rangers due to his declining importance on the club.

He has lost his place in the starting lineup, showing a decrease in his value to the team.

Philippe Clement’s preference for Dujon Sterling in Barisic’s position when Ridvan Yilmaz is unavailable highlights the Croatian player’s declining status.

This circumstance signals that Barisic’s time at Ibrox has come to an end, and a move to Trabzonspor is a reasonable next step for him in search of new prospects and regular playing time.

John Lundstram, who was in contract talks recently, may be a helpful player, but his choice to leave indicates a desire for a different challenge or setting.

If Clement does not stand in his way, it shows that the manager respects Lundstram’s wishes and recognises that the player has given his all during his time at Rangers.

With both players’ contracts expiring, their departures seem timely and beneficial for all parties involved.
