Rangers transfer update: Hamza Igamane trigger discovered, although megaflop insists he was anything but.

FAR Rabat has revealed the grounds for allowing Hamza Igamane to join Rangers. And they have stated that he will be the last of their players to relocate to Europe this season. Rangers are expected to seal the acquisition of the 21-year-old highly regarded prospect this week, as manager Philippe Clement continues to rebuild for next season. And his team has explained to fans why they let its star player to leave.

A club representative is quoted in the Moroccan media as saying: “Hamza has signed a contract with Rangers for five seasons worth £1.75 million plus extra clauses.” We permitted him to make the transfer because we recognised that this talented player’s aim was to play in Europe, and we gave him that opportunity. It also improves the image of our club and Moroccan football. But Hamza will be the lone player to depart the club this summer. We have received bids and interest from other European teams regarding some of our players. However, we believe it is critical to keep the team’s skeleton intact in order to have the best opportunity of winning trophies this season.

Meanwhile, former Rangers flop Carlos Pena claims his time at Ibrox was a success. The former Mexican international has joined Racing City of Los Angeles for the 15th time in his career, and he admits it could be his last at the age of 34. He endured a dismal tenure at Ibrox when then-manager Pedro Caixinha spent £3 million on him seven years ago.

His Rangers contract was eventually ended by mutual consent in February 2019, following two loan spells in Mexico marred by alcohol issues. Since then, he has spent time in Poland with GKS Tychy without playing a single game before returning to Mexico with three different clubs. He then signed with small clubs in El Salvador and Guatemala before joining CD Vida in Honduras, where he was discharged and declared his retirement plans. But he had previously played for clubs in Dubai and Syria, and he swore he had no regrets about his recent transfer.

Pena stated, “My main sadness was that I never competed in the Champions League, although I did play in the Europa League with Rangers. I gave my utmost at every club and was successful in each one. I accomplished all of the goals I set for myself as a child, including the Copa America, Gold Cup, Libertadores, Concacaf, and winning leagues. The end of my career is approaching; I will continue to enjoy it.”
