Reds arms outmuscle Cardinals 3-1

After going on the disabled list, Nick Lodolo pitched into the sixth inning, giving up one run. With nine strikeouts in 3.2 scoreless innings, the bullpen retired all 11 batters. With ten straight victories, the Cardinals were on a five-game winning streak. In the first two innings, the Reds offense scored three runs, and that was sufficient. That four game winning run is a season high. It was the first time in 42 games that the Reds were playing in a division. Lodolo: 81 pitches/55 strikes, 5.1 IN, 5 H, 1 R, 0 BB, 3 K.

Nolan Arenado and Paul Goldschmidt each committed errors in the Reds two run 2nd. They have a combined 14 career Gold Gloves. The Cards 12th consecutive game with a miscue. Their longest streak since 1976-77.

Goldschmidt, who homered twice Sunday night, blasted one off Lodolo in the 1st inning. His 20th career HR at GABP.
