Mark Robins of Coventry City has been compared to the late Howard Wilkinson, the manager of Leeds United. According to former Sky Blues manager Gordon Strachan, the club’s April FA Cup semi-final loss to Manchester United was a “body blow” for him and his family.

Naturally, Strachan is a former star of Old Trafford from his wonderful playing days under Sir Alex Ferguson, but he feels that Robins, another former Red Devil, is more like one of his former managers in terms of his low-key approach to business.

When asked if he thought the Sky Blues were at their finest since he first joined the team as a player and later as manager in the middle of the Premier League in the 1990s, Strachan responded, “Yeah.” The manager is among the greatest. He was, after all, in the second division, playing in various venues and putting in a lot of effort to reach to the point where he was against Manchester United (3–3) in the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley.

They were only two centimeters away from making it to the final, which hurts me deeply because several of my family members—grandchildren, daughters-in-law, and others—have season tickets to Coventry. They performed admirably. The team has excelled. The stadium is presently filled to capacity. It’s simply amazing.

The 67-year-old said, “It’s taken them a long time to get back to filling stadiums, which is great,” in an interview with cryptopoker.ltd. Mark Robins needs to improve his PR, in my opinion, but he is unable to do so. That’s how he’s always been, as I watch a lot of managers who play well and have 10 games at the top go on to become elite managers and legends.
