Crystal Palace is now in negotiations to sign a player who Roy Hodgson and Will Hughes both know well.

After Chadi Riad was signed to reinforce the defense and Daichi Kamada to bolster the midfield, it is now time for Dougie Freedman to support Oliver Glasner’s attack now that Michael Olise has officially completed his £50.8 million move to Bayern Munich.

As a result, negotiations are in progress at Crystal Palace to return a player to the Premier League.

Ismaila Sarr and Crystal Palace are in talks to sign.

According to a report from the Daily Mail, Crystal Palace and Marseille are now negotiating the signing of Ismaila Sarr.

No, you haven’t magically found yourself in 2020, when Freedman made a £25 million bid for Sarr.

Rather, Senegal’s international, who made 50 Premier League appearances for Watford and scored 10 goals, is now again the focus of Crystal Palace.

The Daily Mail also reaffirms a report by Sacha Tavolieri, according to which Crystal Palace has discussed signing Antonio Nusa with Club Brugge. The report also mentions that conversations have also taken place with Monaco regarding a transfer for Maghnes Akliouche.

It’s interesting to note that the latter is presently playing for France in the Olympics alongside Jean-Philippe Mateta.

Previous remarks made by Will Hughes regarding the Senegal international

Hughes is familiar with Sarr, as previously mentioned, having shared a pitch with him 47 times for Watford.

In fact, back in February 2021, the Crystal Palace No. 19 spoke with Watford’s official website regarding the £64,000-per-week forward and had nothing but positive things to say.

Hughes is reported to have said, “He’s frightening.” It’s frightening how he does it each and every game. Although his quickness is impressive, as everyone has noted, his technique and touch at that speed are terrifying.

The most amazing thing about him is his control at such a rapid pace—he doesn’t stop for ninety minutes. He’s also a decent boy.

Sarr and Hodgson were coworkers at Watford, where Hodgson praised Sarr as a “quality” player.

Now, if negotiations between Marseille and Crystal Palace proceed smoothly, Hughes and Sarr might be reunited at Selhurst Park.
