Leicester Tigers defeated Exeter Chiefs at Mattioli Woods Welford Road in a thrilling four-try victory that marked the end of their Gallagher Premiership campaign.

Although Tigers had a strong start, Exeter would take the lead thanks to a clever move on the right touchline by Immanuel Feyi-Waboso.

With a conversion, Henry Slade made it 7-0.

With Pollard’s boot, the Tigers fought back, and their quick ball movement out of the ruck forced penalties for the home team.

Leicester continued to create opportunities and fight for every ball. Ollie Hassell-Collins had space to manoeuvre when the ball was thrown to her, and she scored a long-range goal with lightning-fast speed and strength.

With the additional Pollard tallied, the score was 10-7.

The Tigers supporters began to roar in response, and once again Jack van Poortvliet found a half-open space in Exeter’s defence to score another outstanding try.

It was 17–7 because Pollard stayed flawless from the tee.

Tigers appeared to be in control once more, but Olly Woodburn’s deliberate knockdown only netted three points, even though the winger was sent out after ten minutes.

After a purposeful smackdown of his own, Feyi-Waboso was given a card, but Exeter would close the gap to 10 points before halftime.

In the second half, the Tigers kept up the pressure, with Tommy Reffell demonstrating mastery with the ball in hand for a try before Mike Brown made it 34-10.

Dan Frost helped Exeter get back into the match, but then Jasper Wiese’s red card hurt the Tigers.

With just over ten minutes remaining, the Chiefs scored once more, forcing the Tigers to defend their lead at 34–22.

With renewed vigour, the Tigers moved the ball into Exeter’s half. After a penalty, Ryan Wilkinson kicked the three, giving Tigers their first Premiership points. The score is currently 37-22.

As the final siren blew, Wilkinson doubled his point total with another well-placed kick, giving the hosts the upper hand 40–22 over the Tigers.
