Towards the end of the season, Onana was not a surefire starter in Sean Dyche’s lineup, and the team believes he might be the best player to give up in order to keep other important players at Goodison Park this summer.

The 22-year-old is reportedly attracting interest from at least five top European teams, including PSG and Bayern Munich.

On May 17, Football Insider disclosed that the Blues are expected to entertain offers for Onana that reach up to £50 million. Onana’s contract is scheduled to expire in 2027.

Within the next several weeks, Everton may lose Amadou Onana.

After joining Everton in 2022 for £33 million from Lille in France, Onana had a productive first season.

However, since being left out of the starting lineup for four of the Toffees’ final six games of the season, he hasn’t exactly been on fire this year.

Despite losing eight points for two different financial infractions, the midfielder started 30 of his 37 games during the season as Dyche guided the team to safety once more.

The Goodison leaders are aware that when the transfer window reopens, they will need to sell one of James Garner, Onana, Jarrad Branthwaite, Jordan Pickford, or Dwight McNeil.

Given that there will likely be a lot of interest in the Belgian over the next several weeks, there is a growing sense that they are now prepared to approve a move for him.
