Ridvan Yilmaz has sent a four-word message to teammate John Lundstram after he shared a goodbye post to Rangers fans on social media.
Since arriving at the Ibrox three years ago, Lundstram has been a stalwart for the Glasgow-based outfit.
It was a risky move to leave Sheffield United, a Premier League team at the time. But as he said in his farewell post on Instagram, he has thoroughly enjoyed his time representing the team. Several of his teammates have contacted the departing midfield player to let him know that his departure has been formally confirmed and to express their gratitude for his time at the squad. Yilmaz sent a brief remark among those messages, saying, “All the best lad.”
What could be next for John Lundstram?
As aforementioned, since arriving at the Ibrox three years ago, the 30-year-old has been a stellar player for the club.
The midfielder has made a total of 153 appearances across all competitions for Rangers and has managed to chip in with a total of 20 goals throughout the entirety of his time in Glasgow.
Although, at the time, the move was questioned by many due to Lundstram arguably being at the peak of his career, it has worked out for the best.
He joined the side after Steven Gerrard brought the Scottish Premiership back to Rangers but eventually fell down the pecking order once the Liverpool legend was sacked.
However, he managed to work his way back into the line-up and played a key role in Rangers’ surprise Europa League final charge.
In fact, across his career, Rangers are the team he has played the most for despite playing for multiple English clubs.
And, according to the Daily Record, the next step in Lundstram’s career will take place in Turkey.
The midfielder is set to announce a move to Trabzonspor in the coming days with the Turkish outfit potentially becoming the last destination of the Liverpool-born midfielders’ career.
