Waqa Nalaga, 20, of the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua, had a fantastic weekend as he partnered with Iosefo Masi in the midfield during the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua’s match against the Queensland Reds at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva. Making his Drua debut, Nalaga feels it’s an invaluable experience for him. Masi, according to the rookie, is a gifted player.
To be able to represent the Fijian Drua in 12 and, of course, Masi, the more seasoned player than I am, is a great pleasure for me. I feel privileged and honored to be able to play outside with Masi. After his outing last Saturday, the former Cuvu College student believes he will toughen up and go on. In order to boost his performance, he hopes to receive more playing time. On Sunday in Dunedin, the Fijian Drua take on the Highlanders at 2:05 p.m.
