Ever since Taylor Swift, his girlfriend, missed his past two Chiefs games, fans of the singer and those who follow her personal life have been wondering if her absences mean anything. However, it appears like Swift has accepted the invitation to tonight’s game versus the New Orleans Saints, so everyone can finally relax. This information comes directly from Kelce, who was asked, “Is Taylor here?” by a fan during his Eighty-Seven and Running Foundation’s Kelce Car Jam 2024 on October 5 (which also happened to be his 35th birthday), according to People.
Kelce, ever the giving man, was frank: “She won’t be here right now. She is coming in for the game, I know that.”
Swift’s absence from the charity event is not immediately understood, although one source speculated as to why she might have missed several Chiefs away games.
“There are security concerns if she is going somewhere other than Arrowhead,” a source confided in Page Six earlier this week. “She has so much experience working with Arrowhead; they are relaxed and at ease.” You have to send a team ahead of time if you’re going to be visiting various stadiums.” Being Taylor Swift, she is also really busy getting ready for her upcoming tour, which kicks up in Miami on October 18.
According to the source’s analysis, the singer had previously attended the Chiefs’ home games on September 5 and September 15. The next two games, which you may have predicted were played away, were skipped by her. The Chiefs’ first home game since Swift’s last visit is against the Saints.
Swift also need not worry about missing some of her boyfriend’s games, as the man stated in a 2016 interview that he doesn’t mind at all if the person he is dating doesn’t show up every single week. “If you’re dating a professional athlete, I do not believe—at least for me—that you have to go to all the games,” Kelce stated at the time. “There are eight away games, eight home games, and play-offs, too. My friends and parents aren’t even expected to make every game.”
