Young Sheffield Wednesday goalkeeper, Jack Hall, is looking set to stay at the club next season.
After years of rising through the levels at his childhood club, Hall signed his first professional contract with Wednesday in 2021. Since he was 17, he has trained with the first team. The Star knows that arrangements have been agreed upon that will see the young teen stay with Wednesday until after the 2023–2024 campaign, as it was confirmed last week that the club had presented him with a fresh contract offer.
The shot-stopper, who has recently been called up to the England youth teams, has spent a lot of time studying under the experienced goalkeepers at Wednesday in an effort to improve. Given that Pierce Charles is the only goalkeeper currently signed for the upcoming campaign, he may have even more opportunity to study under them over the summer.
Hall did not make his first team debut until this Wednesday; however, he was listed on the bench for the FA Cup matches against Coventry City in January and February earlier this year, when he was part of the matchday squad.
At this point, it is unclear what the plan is for the ‘keeper once he signs a new contract with S6, although he may opt to go out on loan to start getting regular minutes in senior football after impressing at both U18 and U21 levels.
