Shocking News: AFL legend considers massive career change

Radio personality and former AFL champion Brendan Fevola has hinted at a significant career shift.

The 43-year-old legend of Carlton Football, who co-hosts Fox’s Fifi, Fev, and Nick Show, says he is eager to return to coaching.

Fevola trained with Collingwood’s AFLW team for a day before making his shocking statement.

On Friday, an emotional Fevola told his co-hosts Nick Cody and Fi Box, “It makes me wanna be a coach.”

You have no idea how much I adored it.

Yesterday, I spent the entire day out and about. Throughout the past 14 years, I have never once trained for any of the teams I have played for.

Fevola, who became well-known as a top goal kicker for the Carlton Football Club’s AFL premier team in the early 2000s, claimed that Collingwood CEO Craig Kelly had first invited him to the training session.

The former football player clarified that the invitation was purportedly a “joke punishment” following Fevola’s public declaration that Kelly would shortly be leaving Collingwood.

During the episode, Fevola exclaimed, “I know Craig Kelly did it as a punishment, but I absolutely loved it.”

Since 2016, Fevola has become a Fox FM broadcaster with Fifi Box.

It follows Fevola’s previous disclosure that, without exercising, he shed an incredible 14.5 kg in just one month.

The radio broadcaster revealed in an interview with Australian Men’s Health last month that his health began to deteriorate after he ended his playing career.

Brendan told the publication, “I haven’t gone to the gym in thirteen years.”

The 43-year-old legend of Carlton Football, who co-hosts Fox’s Fifi, Fev, and Nick, says he is eager to return to coaching football.

“I had no reason to stay in shape after I retired, so I just didn’t see the point.”

The calories he was consuming continued to’stack up’ after he quit exercise, Brendan added.

When I was playing football, I was able to eat as much as I used to since I burned it off through activity. However, it all added up once I stopped working out as much.

Following the keto diet, Brendan shed an amazing 14.5 kilogrammes in the last month, part of his astounding 30-kilogram weight loss in the past 12 months after understanding he needed to modify his lifestyle.

Brendan claimed that he ate more carb-heavy items because he works in breakfast radio in the early hours.

“I’m exhausted at the wrong times because of the breakfast hours I work,” he said. “Before, I was just eating carbs all the time and not getting the good stuff to keep me awake.”

It’s all about the choices you make, therefore I don’t want to place all the responsibility on breakfast hours because you can still eat healthily at those times.

Using a 30-day challenge from Keto Australia, he completely changed his diet.

A low-carb, high-fat diet, the ketogenic diet seeks to put the body into a state of ketosis, when it burns fat for energy and aids in weight loss.
