According to former Chelsea defender Frank Leboeuf, Cole Palmer will eventually be sold by the current Blues owners because it is their business strategy and what matters to them more than the team’s success.
Palmer, who was previously on the periphery of Pep Guardiola’s first team, has been a revelation at Stamford Bridge since joining Chelsea from Manchester City a little over a year ago. He has performed better than many would have predicted and swiftly risen to the top of the Premier League.
Leboeuf thinks Chelsea would definitely cash in on the England international if a big offer came in for him because they will want to make a profit on Palmer if they can.
after Real Madrid already has a similar English midfield talent in Jude Bellingham, who has also been excellent in the last year or two after joining the team, the former French World Cup champion is unsure if he could see someone like them making a sizable move for Palmer.
Cole Palmer transfer: Chelsea owners will sell because they don’t care about the team
Leboeuf responded to a question regarding whether Palmer will be sold by Chelsea by telling Safest Casino Sites: “Well, they bought him for a very good price.” I suppose that since it is their business, the trade business, they will accept an offer of £100 million.
If they don’t sell, Chelsea will violate their business plan. Fans will undoubtedly be disappointed, but it would be incredibly foolish of them to forego their trading business structure if they didn’t sell him for £100 million after purchasing him for only £45 million.
Therefore, they will sell him because they don’t give a damn about the club. They are not there to get results; they are there to generate money. The owners keep the money, and the fans keep the results.
The same is true of Manchester United and, I suppose, Liverpool; those boards are only interested in making money.
However, it would also be foolish of Real Madrid to purchase Palmer. He is not needed by them. Jude Billingham is one of them. Cole Palmer, where would you like him to go? “On the bench?”
