After playing for Hereford for a season, Curtis Pond left the team.
GOALKEEPER It has been revealed that six players, including Curtis Pond, are leaving Hereford FC.
Pond played for Hereford last season after moving up two divisions, and he participated in the league season.
Hereford manager Paul Caddis stated on the team’s website, “(Curtis) Pond has suggested work schedule has made it difficult for him to commit and will sign for a club closer to home which will also earn him a financial promotion which we are unable to compete with.”
That’s just the way the world works, and we send Pond our most best wishes.
Ollie Southern and Jordan Cranston, two more defenders, along with captain Nathan Cameron from the previous year, are also departing the team this summer.
Yusifu Ceesay has “aspirations” of playing overseas and wishes to look for other options, according to Caddis.
The club has also identified Tope Obadeyi as departing in the interim.
Caddis continued, “Tope Obadeyi has been very open, honest, and respectful in making it clear he has loved his time at the club and would be keen to stay, but is currently considering his options.”
Talks between Mark Derricott and Lassana Mendes and the club are still ongoing. According to Caddis, the Bulls have signed a new player, but they can’t make the announcement until their existing contract expires.
Hereford has announced that on Saturday, July 27, they will go to Halesowen Town for a preseason friendly.
