Sky Sports journalist issues latest update on Jack Clarke after claims Ipswich and Southampton want him

Ipswich Town are reportedly in advanced negotiations with Sheffield United over a potential deal for center-back Anel Ahmedhodzic, according to sources from Football Insider.

The newly promoted Premier League side has pulled ahead of Wolves in the race to sign the 25-year-old. Earlier reports on Monday (19 August) indicated that Gary O’Neil’s Wolves were monitoring Ahmedhodzic’s situation at Bramall Lane, but financial constraints have hindered their ability to complete their summer transfer business, allowing Ipswich to move ahead in the pursuit of the Bosnian international.

Ahmedhodzic has played the full 90 minutes in both of Sheffield United’s Championship matches this season and was a key player for the Blades last season, despite their relegation from the Premier League.

Ipswich Town have been active in the transfer market this summer, securing nine signings so far, including the permanent acquisition of Omari Hutchinson and a loan deal for Kalvin Phillips.
