Stino has soft spot for 7s

Selestino Ravutaumada, a Fijian Drua wing turn 7s player, said he is doing what makes him happy. Yesterday against Australia, Ravutaumada experienced the shortened form of the game for the first time, and he impressed by bringing some attacking firepower to the team. The 24-year-old, who was speaking to the media in Lautoka yesterday, stated that while he enjoys playing 15s, he has always wanted to try 7s. Many supporters call him Stino, and he says he had fun during his first scrimmage at Churchill Park versus the Australians.

Yes, in terms of fitness, it is really different. I’m working to regain my fitness, and ideally I’ll do so before the team is selected. The elusive winger adds that there is fierce competition among the team’s many skilled players.

In addition to scoring two tries yesterday, Ravutaumada displayed his lightning-fast feet and accurate start. In Lautoka, the two teams will play another practice match today.
