STRIKER GREENSLADE IS GLOVERS’ FIRST SIGNING

Harvey Greenslade, a striker, is Yeovil Town’s first summer addition as they get ready to return to the National League Premier.

The 20-year-old, who spent the second part of the previous season on loan at Oxford City before being released by League One team Bristol Rovers, has inked a two-year deal with the Glovers.

The Rovers youth product, who spent the first part of the previous season on loan at Truro City, expressed his excitement for boss Mark Cooper’s ambitions on the club’s official YouTube channel after playing at Huish Park.

“I’m really excited, it’s obviously a big club, and I’m really looking forward to playing my football here and meeting all the fans,” he stated. I am very excited about it as I thought it was incredibly attractive when I heard about it.

“It seemed a little strange to leave Rovers after working there for so long, but I’m excited to take on this new challenge.

Greenslade Harvey”The fans at Huish Park were incredible when I played there last season, but I got a call from the gaffer outlining his goals for the upcoming year, and as soon as I hung up, I thought it sounded like my style of play.

“Last season, I enjoyed it; it was a level I can excel at. It’s a fantastic opportunity for me to demonstrate my abilities. I am extremely excited to be playing my first game at Huish Park in front of all the Yeovil supporters, and I could not be happier.

He has played for the Memorial Ground since he was seven years old, however in the 2022–2023 season, he only made one first team appearance, coming on as a second half substitute in an EFL Trophy loss at Plymouth Argyle.

He did, however, have a couple of loan stints, playing the first part of the previous season with the White Tigers after being promoted to the National League South with Truro City in 2022–2023. He played in the opening 2-1 season-opening loss at Huish Park for the Cornish/Devon/Gloucestershire team.

He went up a division in the second part of the previous season and scored three goals in sixteen games for Oxford City.

A fortnight ago, Rhys Murphy left for Dorking Wanderers, so Greenslade increased manager Cooper’s attacking options.
