According to a recent transfer update, a foreign club is reportedly seeking to finalise the signing of a Celtic player that Brendan Rodgers no longer wants.
Celtic transfer news
Even though the Hoops are once again leading the Scottish Premiership and in a commanding lead, they are still being connected to new players in an effort to build on their success and increase their influence in the Champions League.
Young Hammarby forward Bazoumana Toure has been frequently mentioned as a possible £8 million move to Parkhead. Although he is only 18 years old, he has a high ceiling and might end up being a good deal in the long run.
Ace of MidtjyllandCeltic is another team that admires Dario Osorio, but they are by no means the only ones who are interested in him. The 22-year-old has already earned 13 caps for Chile and has been compared to Angel Di Maria, which says a lot about him.
A new exit update has already surfaced, and the Hoops may potentially have outgoings during the January transfer window and, for that matter, next summer.
Club want to sign £5k-a-week Celtic outcast
A recent update from Glasgow World indicates that Internacional is interested in potentially turning Celtic left-back Alexandro Bernabei’s loan move into a permanent one.
According to the article, Rodgers has no plans for him because the Hoops manager has determined that he is “surplus to requirements.” The “Scottish champions will attempt to recoup a large chunk of the £3.75 million they splashed out to bring him to Glasgow’s east end two years ago.”
Since the player’s current plan agreement expires at the beginning of the year, Internacional’s president, Alessandro Barcellos, has also disclosed that negotiations are ongoing with Bernabei’s representatives:”Until the end of the year, Bernabei will remain on loan with the team. Regardless of the potential course of action, we still need to negotiate with the team that holds his rights to either buy him or extend the loan.
Since the player’s agency has indicated an interest in staying, which is crucial in the process, we have already begun discussions with them. We’re hoping for a positive result, but that won’t happen until the end of the year. Since Bernabei’s value rises with every game that goes by, we plan to keep him. He is a player who has earned, conquered, and maintained his space; as a result, he is now a crucial member of our team.
After making 16 appearances for the Brazilian team and recording two goals and two assists each, Bernabei appears to be enjoying life at Internacional more than at Celtic, so this situation makes perfect sense for everyone. Back in 2022, former manager Ange Postecoglou praised the £5,000-per-week left-back:
“We wanted to incorporate him gradually because we think he has a very bright future. In training, Alexandro has performed admirably. He has a genuine desire to get better and wants to learn. We’ve been able to be measured, but I always had faith that he could have an influence, and you’ll see that going forward. Greg Taylor has had a fantastic season, so we have also had the luxury of not having to include him.
Unfortunately, things haven’t worked out the way Bernabei had hoped, which is a common occurrence when young players relocate, thus Celtic is now making money.
It is hoped that a trade is finalised in January since a permanent move to Internacional would be ideal and enable him to settle more in his career.
