Huddersfield Town, having been relegated from the Championship, will be preparing for life in League One the following season.
The Terriers had a challenging season and were eventually demoted to the third division after placing 23rd in the standings.
Their relegation was secured by a 2-0 loss to Ipswich Town on the last day, and they will now play in League One for the first time since 2012.
Ahead of the summer transfer window, Michael Duff was named the latest manager of the Yorkshire team, taking over for Andre Breitenreiter.
Having managed Barnsley and Swansea City in the past, Duff will now aim to lead the team to promotion back to the Championship on the first try.
Here is a look at the Huddersfield players who might get a lot of attention during the summer transfer window.
Sorba Thomas
Sorba Thomas has been a standout attacking talent during his time at Huddersfield.
The Wales international was a key part of the team that reached the play-off final under Carlos Corberan in 2022, contributing three goals and 11 assists.
He added four goals and nine assists to his tally this season, the most goals contributions of any player in the squad.
The former Barnsley and Swansea manager was appointed by the Terriers on Monday. After the Yorkshire club was relegated to League One, teams in the Championship will undoubtedly show interest in signing the forward.
After spending the first half of the season on loan with Blackburn Rovers in 2018, Thomas may soon be heading for a permanent transfer.
Even though losing a player of his calibre would be devastating, at this point in his career, dropping back to the second division would be the right decision for the player.
Michal Helik
Michal Helik was the Terriers’ top scorer in the Championship last year despite being a centre-back, scoring nine times.
He was a standout defensive talent in an otherwise struggling side and will surely have plenty of suitors in the summer following Huddersfield’s relegation.
Suffering the drop to League One is going to open the door to potentially losing key players, that’s the consequence of going down a division.
Other clubs will sense an opportunity and pounce and Helik is one player that is sure to attract attention.
The Poland international has proven himself as a Championship level player and will have one eye on returning to the division this summer instead of competing in League One for at least a year.

Brahima Diarra
During the late January transfer window, Brahima Diarra piqued the curiosity of West Bromwich Albion, but a deal never materialised.
The 20-year-old did not make an impact on the Huddersfield first team last season, starting just five of his 21 outings.
However, the young youngster has obvious talent, and if the Terriers are demoted, they might lose him.
Beginning in January, West Brom might rekindle their interest in the Mali U23 international in an effort to support Corberan’s squad.
They may also have to deal with competition from the young athlete, who may participate the next year at the Championship level or even higher.
Huddersfield may decide to gain funds by selling off a valued asset before determining their own summer transfer plans.
