Torino manager Ivan Juric has expressed his disappointment with the club’s transfer dealings, admitting that despite their efforts, Torino failed to secure key targets. Speaking after the closure of the transfer window, Juric revealed that the club made attempts to strengthen the squad, but several moves fell through.
“The club tried,” Juric stated. “There was an effort to bring in the right players, but in the end, we couldn’t get the deals over the line. I am disappointed because I believe we needed reinforcements.”
Reports suggest that Torino had been pursuing Southampton players, potentially looking to strengthen their squad with Premier League talent. However, negotiations did not result in any major signings, leaving Juric frustrated as he aims to push his team higher up the Serie A table.
Southampton, currently fighting for promotion back to the Premier League, were reluctant to let go of key players, further complicating Torino’s plans. With the window now shut, Juric will have to make do with his current squad and hope they can maintain their momentum in the second half of the season.
Torino fans will be eager to see whether the club’s failure to secure transfers affects their ambitions for the remainder of the campaign.
