Crystal Palace start negotiations to sign versatile 24-year-old - Transfer looks very possible - Sport Witness

The agents of Batista Mendy and Crystal Palace began talking about a possible transfer on April 29, according to Foot Mercato. It was also reported that Trabzonspor had received an offer from the Premier League team.

Now, Fotospor confirms it and says that the Eagles have begun talks in an attempt to sign the 24-year-old during the summer transfer window.

Mendy has played in 40 games this season, seeing action as a midfielder and a center-back. He has one goal and one assist.

After a while, Crystal Palace began to monitor him and had discussions with his agency. The representative of the versatile player is rumoured to have met with the Turkish club as well, and they are reportedly willing to sell their client for at least €15 million.

The former Angers player’s contract expires in2027, but he has a desire to sign with Oliver Glasner’s team in England during the upcoming transfer window.

“Serious steps will be taken in a very short time,” according to Fotospor, but it’s unclear if this refers to Mendy’s camp, Crystal Palace, or both.
